Audrina believes a rumor she hears: that Lauren hooked up with Justin. Meanwhile Holly tries to get Heidi away from Spencer

It’s looking likely we’ll be spared from the apocalypse. No, I’m not talking about politics– for once– but the possibility of a movie based on The Hills, the “reality” show that I swear has dumbed down my generation irreversibly. In the spring Lauren Conrad said it was possible, but then Heidi Montag told her she was crazy and it was never going to happen. Now Audrina Partridge, another star of the show who has inexplicably become famous as a result, is offering the tiebreaker.

She told MTV.com “I haven’t really heard anything about a ‘Hills’ movie, so no.” Go ahead and breathe that sigh of relief, guys, especially given her idea of what a movie would actually entail. “I think it would be like a really long reality, like one long episode, obviously.”

It’s obvious we’re in a time of unusual creative bankruptcy in Hollywood, but this would be a stretch even for the guys who are bringing you remakes of things like Forbidden Planet. I never thought I’d say Audrina Partridge and Heidi Montag are sensible, but please America, let’s listen to them and put the idea of a Hills movie to rest.

Justin Bobby is almost back with Audrina Patridge.

Patridge got hot and heavy with Bobby on the Hills, with Audrina juggling Justin and her new fling, Cory.

Audrina Patridge also defended Justin-Bobby to her friends again. Patridge told her coworker Chiara (at the Epic Records offices) about the events that went down when Justin-Bobby showed up to a recent work function

“Think of how many times you’ve wanted to end it with him,” Chiara says. “There’s a reason for that every time. He can’t keep coming and sweeping you off your feet.”

“He wouldn’t say those things if he didn’t really care,” Audrina Patridge replies. “There’s something that Justin and I have that no one else I’ve met [has].”

When watching The Hills, you think you have a pretty good idea of who each character is and what makes them tick.

You think.

While we only see the heavily edited down version of literally hundreds of hours of footage, the characters are sometimes shown as spoiled brats.

Doug Reinhardt, the newest addition to the cast, has been in several episodes this season as Lauren Conrad’s love interest and frat boy friend of Brody Jenner.

In one episode, Reinhardt is partying with the gang in Cabo and flies in a herd of beautiful woman for Brody’s birthday. He’s in a pool with a bunch of girls rubbing up against him. After watching that, you think you get this guy. Reality TV can be very entertaining but also very deceiving.

Reinhardt is portrayed as a sweet and charming guy who loves to party and have fun. There’s nothing wrong with that. But did you know he’s a professional athlete, Political Science major, owns his own successful cell phone company and is a sincere, honest and humble guy?

Reinhardt, who sat down with andPOP recently while hosting a party at Tila Tequila bar in Ottawa, is extremely thankful for the opportunities he has been given and doesn’t take anything for granted.

Reinhardt grew up in Laguna Beach, and briefly dated Conrad in high school before being drafted, at 18, by the Anaheim Angels. The two lost contact with Reinhardt focusing on ball, and LC busy with MTV and fashion.

Whitney Port is already losing sleep in the city that never sleeps.

Port, the former “Hills” personality and star of MTV’s new spinoff series “The City,” hasn’t even bought furniture for her new apartment, let alone settled into her new NYC lifestyle.

“There are times when I’m working so much that I just think, ‘What am I going to do?’” Port told the Daily News. “But I just have to roll with the punches and take it day by day - that’s something that Lauren taught me to do.”

Lauren, of course, is Lauren Conrad - star of “The Hills” and Port’s friend and former co-worker.

“The City,” premiering in 2009, will follow Port’s adjustment from the sunny skies of L.A. to the mean streets of New York, much like what “The Hills” did when Conrad left Laguna Beach. It’ll capture Port’s work life at fashion house Diane von Furstenberg, her friendships and even her romantic relationships.
