Audrina believes a rumor she hears: that Lauren hooked up with Justin. Meanwhile Holly tries to get Heidi away from Spencer

Brody Jenner, celebrating his 25th birthday (which is on Aug. 21) at West Hollywood lounge Coco de Ville. It looked like a scene out of The Hills as the birthday boy took shots with Doug Reinhardt and was later joined by BFF Frankie Delgado and Lauren Conrad, who arrived with new man Kyle Howard and Whitney Port. Though Conrad mingled with Brody and his friends, her focus was clearly on Howard. The pair held hands, talked closely and kissed throughout the evening. At 1 a.m., the whole crew sang “Happy Birthday” to Jenner as a huge cake with sparklers and candles appeared, and they toasted him with Dom Perignon before the party moved on to Delgado and Reinhardt’s Hollywood Hills house.

P.S. Also seen was Anne Hathaway who is rumored to be Brody’s new lady.

An eyewitness says, on Tuesday, Devil Wears Prada starlet Anne Hathaway “spent the entire afternoon at Brody Jenner’s apartment.

The rekindled “bromance” between Hills stars Brody Jenner and Spencer Pratt took a turn for the worse following the show’s season premiere party at Paradise Cove in Malibu Monday night.

A source tells E! News that Pratt approached new castmember and Lauren Conrad love interest Doug Reinhart and began bad-mouthing his former best friend.

“Spencer said he had no respect for Brody because he was always up Lauren’s ass,” the source says.

After this classy exchange, Pratt and the rest of the cast headed for a celebratory dinner at Nobu. But things got worse when Jenner found out what Pratt had said.

“They almost brawled right there in Nobu,” says the source. “Spencer kept saying, “I’m gonna choke him out.’ ”

Luckily the squabble got under control and the guys managed to enjoy their dinners at separate tables. When it came time for the check, some MTV producers who were sitting with Pratt picked it up for everyone.

Doing what they do best (posing for the paparazzi, that is), Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt spent the afternoon out and about in Los Angeles yesterday (August 18).

The peroxide pair looked cute with Heidi sporting a black sleeveless shirt and a pair of vintage-style jeans while Spencer stuck to his mainstay dark suit with a blue button-up shirt.

As for the future of their relationship, FOX Pop Tarts reports that Heidi plans to marry Spencer on live television just as soon as he gives her “that big ring.”

And regarding the rift between Montag and Hills co-star Lauren Conrad, a Heidi pal told Pop Tarts, “She wants to say she’s sorry for everything, but that probably wouldn’t work when it comes to the dynamics of the show.”

As it turns out, an apology wouldn’t make a difference anyway. Lauren told McKay, “Not a chance. Heidi and Audrina are still cool, but not for me.”

If Lauren Conrad’s recent claim that The Hills’ currently airing fourth season will be her last ends up being true, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are ready to take over.

“I think maybe Lauren is [sick of it]. She’s been doing it for a long time — she was doing [Laguna Beach] — so maybe she’s tired of it,” said Montag during a Monday appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show. “We’re just beginning. We’re not even remotely sick of it yet. This is all fun for us.”

“Sometimes the narrator has to throw her hat up on the wall, retire that jersey, pass the mic,” added Pratt. “I definitely would be the first to step in line for the job.”

The couple was responding to comments made by Conrad last week during an appearance on the American Idol host’s radio show in which she said she thinks the fourth season will be her last. She subsequently reiterated her swan song comments.

“The show is definitely reaching its end,” Conrad told The New York Post in a Sunday report. “It’s been so amazing and I’ve loved most of it, but I think there is going to come a time where I need to live my life for myself and not in front of viewers. I’m young and having fun with it now, but it’s not something I am going to be able to do forever, obviously.”

This wouldn’t be the first time Conrad has considered quitting The Hills, as she said she was “dangerously close” to not filming the show’s third season because of Montag and Pratt’s involvement.

It’s no small feat that they’ve lasted (and survived) four seasons. And for the arrival of Season 4, the producers of “The Hills” threw a massive party last night (August 18).

Held at the Paradise Cove in Malibu, California, the Season 4 premiere party was attended by all of the ladies and gentlemen that we’ve loved watching over the years.

Lauren Conrad, sporting a champagne colored plunging neckline party dress with sandals, looked to be enjoying herself, mingling with co-stars Whitney Port and Audrina Patridge, as well as her parents Jim and Katherine Conrad.

Also in the house were Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, rocking a khaki one-shoulder minidress with white platform heels and a dark suit respectively.
