Audrina Patridge is still living in Lauren Conrad’s house in The Hills, the reality star told Access Hollywood at the Intermix/VH1 Rock Honors VIP party on Friday night.
Star Magazine reported this week that Audrina finally stood up to Lauren at a friend’s party in Hollywood on June 21. “We were all shocked,” says a friend. “But it’s been coming for a long time. Audrina has been trying to put on a happy face, but she’s tired of LC’s dirty looks and actions. Audrina screamed ‘You know what? Maybe you are the problem,’ to LC.” Lauren was shocked and left in tears, the report claims.
So did that get the buxom brunette kicked out? Speculation is that on Friday a moving van was hauling out something from the residence. The drama in the neighborhood may be just a bit overblown, though as LC said it was a couch being moved in and Audrina is still living there. (All three roommates attended the Intermix party, although Audrina arrived separately.)
Patridge said she had nothing to do with it. “I wasn’t even there today!” she told Usmagazine.com. “I have been gone all day. I still haven’t even been home.” She adds, “There are rumors all the time,” she added. “I just laugh at it!”
Fireworks weren’t only erupting in the sky on the Fourth of July.
Things apparently got a bit heated on Independence Day at the DKNY house in Malibu, where Audrina Patridge and her boyfriend, Justin Bobby, were hanging out with Lauren Conrad.
Yup, here’s some more Hills drama for ya…
“Justin was very flirty with L.C., and Audrina got pissed,” an eyewitness reports. “Audrina stormed off.”
Bobby ran after her, asking, “What? What’s wrong?” according to the source.
There was a Hills camera crew capturing their day at the beach, but unfortunately they weren’t rolling during Partridge’s oh-so-dramatic exit. (But maybe a Living Lohan crew got the footage. Dina and Ali Lohan were shooting their E! reality show at the house, too. I’m told Lindsay even made an appearance.)
However, Audrina and Bobby’s spat seemed short-lived-the two were later spotted at Project Beach, also in Malibu, where they hung out with Stephanie Pratt.
Will Lindsay Lohan join the cat fighting lifestyle of reality TV with Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad on the MTV reality series “The Hills”? Lindsay claims that she won’t be a part of her mom and sister’s reality show “Living Lohan”, but LiLo seems eager to do some reality time of her own on “The Hills”. Would she fit in with the girls? It seems perfect.
Always looking for the next opportunity, Lindsay has been spotted clubbing with The Hills’ Lauren Conrad - insiders say in an effort to make it on to Lauren’s hit MTV show, reports J-14. Will she team up with Audrina Patridge and Lauren and take on Heidi and Spencer Pratt? At this point it couldn’t hurt.
The magazine reports that Lindsay will return to Ugly Betty this fall, but the report notes that she was dropped from her last two film projects, Manson Girls and Ye Olde Times, so she has some time to fill. Keep you eyes peeled while watching The Hills - Lindsay just might make an appearance.
She may want to start some training as the girls have promised lots of skin for next season and they are shaping up to look their best in High-Definition television. Lauren, 22, relies on twice-weekly cardio-and-strength-training sessions with fitness pro Jarrett Del Bene. Audrina, 23, who also works with Del Bene, admits to Life & Style that she sometimes ditches her routine. “I’ve been eating healthy but haven’t been working out,” she says. “I need to get back to the gym.” Should Lindsay Lohan appear on the show?
Depending on whom you ask, Heidi Montag is the villainess on the hit MTV reality show The Hills. But ask Montag, and she’ll sing a different tune: She’s merely the outcast friend who is portrayed as the troublemaker by star Lauren Conrad.
Montag and company have been shooting Season 4 for more than four months in Los Angeles; the first of 19 episodes premieres Aug. 18. Montag reveals that viewers will meet her older sister, Holly, 24, an aspiring filmmaker who once lived with Montag and Conrad. Read the rest of this entry »
Lauren Conrad may have a sweet new pad to enjoy, but her neighbors are not pleased about her being the new addition on the block. Nearby residents are upset by the constant swarm of paparazzi and onlookers since LC, Lo, and Audrina have moved in.
And the girls aren’t the only ones to blame. MTV has gone and turned the home into a sound stage for show purposes. Naturally, MTV defends themselves, saying, “MTV is in accordance with all required production permits, and is working with the city of Los Angeles to assist it with neighborhood concerns that have been raised.”
In Lauren’s defense, when you spend $3 million on a house, you should be able to do whatever you want in it! Hey, at least it’s not the Osbournes! But we do agree that having paps all over your street would be a total nuisance.
In a mediabistro.com interview today, People’s Revolution chief and Whitney Port’s boss Kelly Cutrone accomplishes what the New Yorker and the the New York Times have thus far been unable to do: Offer an intelligent explanation as to why people watch The Hills.
Talking about her inability to keep her six-year-old daughter off the Disney princess crap, Cutrone says the Hills are the next progression after princesses, Miley Cyrus, and High School Musical. “Their next installation is, guess what, The Hills. And they’re just old enough to start watching MTV, they’re hormonally in place, and they see these four young, beautiful girls who really in my mind are a continuation of a Disney princess, because they live in a world that most people will never live in.”
She also offers her thoughts on why adults watch the show (we bow our heads in shame). Says Cutrone: “You pick up the extra market of people who do live in that world who want to see themselves reflected back, like the fashion and entertainment people who kind of watch it like it’s something like they can’t really believe that they’re watching, but they are watching and they’re enthralled because they can’t believe they’re watching what they’re watching but they’re also narcissistic because they see their own world reflected back to them.” Yes, heavy.
Then there’s the Lauren Conrad stuff, how she got her act together from the time at the 2006 Los Angeles Fashion Week when Conrad “didn’t move fast enough” to Cutrone hiring her a year and a half later. In all, it’s something worth checking out. At the very least, it’s helped grow our current crush on the Hills’ newest star.
