Lauren Conrad has partnered with College Tonight, Inc., an online community and networking platform for the college market, founded to promote social activity in the real world, away from the computer.

College Tonight’s directive to its student and young alumni members - “Get On, Get Up, Get Out” - is a natural fit for Conrad, both on screen and off. On “The Hills,” viewers follow her and her friends through their heavily social lives. Off-camera, she is a student at The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles and recently launched the The Lauren Conrad Collection as head designer. Her popularity and influence are evidenced by the demand for her endorsements by companies like College Tonight and her work as spokesperson for mark., the youth-oriented cosmetics line from Avon.

TMZ has learned that Kentucky Fried Chicken wants to throw an all-you-can-eat housewarming party for “Hills” star Lauren Conrad, who recently purchased a new home. Unlike her show, this is for reals!

In an open letter to LC, the chicken chain says they want to welcome Lauren to the new neighborhood, which is “down the street from one of our restaurants,” by giving a VIP party for her and her friends. Sorry, Heidi — only natural breast meat available!

And since LC no longer faux works at Teen Vogue, KFC wants to employ the budding fashion designer to design a retro T-shirt for their Colonel Scholars charity. Finger lickin’ good!

No word on if LC will go for Original Recipe or Extra Crispy.

The Hills star Lauren Conrad puts on her guest designer hat again and has just released a new Linea Pelle Collection.

Her designs are now available online for order exclusively through LPcollection.com.

“I love the bag (tote) because it holds so much and the leather is super soft,” Lauren tells JustJared.com. “It is available in 3 colors. There’s also a clutch and a coin purse.”

Heidi Montag is starting her own fashion line. The Hills star wants to give Lauren Conrad some competition.

LC has her own line of clothes, which is rather average and slightly overpriced.

Montag has inked a deal to do a line of clothes for retail chain Anchor Blue.

What makes Heidi qualified to design clothes? We don’t know.

These days, just wearing clothes makes you an expert I guess.

Montag’s collection will be called Heidiwood and unlike Conrad’s, her clothes will be priced respectfully for her fans.

Heidi’s items will range from $10-60.

Lauren Conrad, best know from MTV reality shows “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills,” is trying to raise awareness of the crisis in Darfur.

LC, along with Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Desmond Tutu, Barak Obama, Jessica Biel and many others, each star in their own 30-second public service announcements on Darfur.

The PSAs are part of a social action campaign for the feature film documentary “Darfur Now,” which follows six people who are trying to bring an end to the crisis.
