“Laguna Beach” boy Talan Torriero has better manners than his ex-fiancée Kimberly Stewart, Rod Stewart’s daughter. At the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach recently, spies saw Stewart eating with friends when, “In walked Talan. When he spotted Kim he went up to wish her a happy new year, and Kim’s friends started yelling, ‘It’s the fiancé! Hi, fiancé!’ ” The girls’ behavior prompted Torriero to walk to the other side of the room and stay there the rest of the night.

“They were very flirtatious and took shots together,” says my Sin City source. The two were linked briefly back in 2005, long before Matt had a baby with ex-girlfriend Brynn Cameron. Kristin was living with longtime boyfriend Nick Zano until they broke up last month.

Although Matt hung with Kristin until 4 a.m. on Friday night, I’m told they left separately and that he wasn’t at her actual bash at LAX on Saturday night.

Reality star Stephen Colletti has done well for himself following his stint on MTV’s Laguna Beach. The 21-year-old has not only ventured into the realm of scripted series, he has also appeared in several feature-length productions, with the most recent being Normal Adolescent Behavior, costarring Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia) and Ricky Ullman (Phil of the Future). Now, he is working on another big screen project, a comedy entitled Tinslestars.

According to Skelligs Productions (Deserted, Chance Meeting), the company behind Tinslestars, the film is about “two Hollywood executive posers” who try to pick up girls in Los Angeles using any means possible. Aside from Stephen Colletti, who appears in the movie as Lou Masters, Tinslestars also features up-and-coming actor J.R. Ramirez as Brandon.

Directing the project is Michelle Melgren (The Cross), who also co-wrote the script with ErinRose Widner (T.H.E.S.P.I.A.N.).

Tinslestars will come out next year, although it is not clear whether or not it will see a theatrical, limited or straight-to-DVD release. However, what fans of the Laguna Beach star can be sure of is that he will be reprising his role on the latest season of One Tree Hill, which is slated to return for its fifth season in January.

“I will be returning to season 5, but I cant give you any details as to which episode I make my return,” Stephen Colletti, who plays Chase, Brooke Davis’ (Sophia Bush) love interest on the show, said on his MySpace blog. “You will just have to watch and see…”

While Colletti has made the successful jump from reality TV to scripted shows, the same cannot be said for his former Laguna Beach costar, Kristin Cavallari. Although the 23-year-old aspiring actress has landed cameos in some television series – such as Cane and Veronica Mars – she has yet to leave a mark outside of her reality fame. She was even included in Entertainment Weekly’s “50 Dumbest People” in Hollywood, landing the 44th spot.

Kristin, 20, just moved in with Nick, 29, this summer. So what happened? “It wasn’t working out,” explains the friend. “She was bored, and I think she realized she was better off keeping her options open.”

“She used to be the It girl, and now she sees all of these other girls who would normally be in her shadow stealing the spotlight,” says the friend. “I think she wants back in on the scene. So get ready, Hollywood — here comes Kristin Cavallari again!”

Reality-TV star Jason Wahler says his 18-day jail stint sobered him up and changed his life.

In an exclusive with People magazine, Wahler called jail “humbling” and said it made him reflect on his mistakes.

“It made me want to really focus on my career, said Wahler, 20. “I spent my time reading and studying the script for my upcoming film ‘10,000 Doors.’ I am happy to be home with my family and friends and am thankful to them for getting me through this rough time.”

Wahler, a former star of the show “Hills,” was sentenced in Washington state for assault and intoxication stemming from a fight at a Seattle hotel in April. Wahler has completed rehab and is now engaged to college tennis player Katja Decker-Sadowski, People magazine reported.

Jason Wahler apparently chose a good time to exhibit good behavior.

The 20-year-old former Laguna Beach star received an early release from a Seattle jail on Tuesday after serving 20 days of a 30-day prison sentence stemming from his April arrest on charges of assault and underage drinking, his publicist Siri Garber confirmed to E! News on Thursday.

“He’s free, and he’s doing very well,” Garber told E! News.

Wahler was arrested April 8 in Seattle and booked on charges of assault and criminal trespassing. According to the incident report, officers responded to a disturbance at a Marriott hotel where a security guard claimed two guests had been wrestling in the lobby. After issuing warnings to stop, the guard reportedly accused Wahler of punching him in the mouth before he was restrained by a friend.

Wahler then allegedly fled the hotel, only to return “a short time later” when police found him passed out in a third-floor hallway “smelling strongly of alcohol.”

The 30-day sentence was handed to Wahler on October 24 when he plead guilty to charges of assault and a minor exhibiting signs of intoxication. Wahler had also originally been charged with criminal trespassing, however that charge was dropped. At the time, it was reported Wahler “could get out in 20 days for good behavior.”

Earlier this year, Wahler had already side-stepped a stint in the slammer.

Last September, he reportedly punched a tow-truck driver as well as a Los Angeles city employee and was accused of using racial slurs against two of the victims, who are African-American. He plead no contest to one count of battery and received a two-month jail sentence and was also required to attend a one-day program at the Museum of Tolerance.

Wahler was due to begin serving his sentence in early May — but that was delayed by a judge due to a stint in rehab at Orange County’s Chapman House inpatient facility, which he completed over the summer.

He’s still on probation in L.A. until May 2010 due to the incident, according to E! News.

Things are starting to look on the up-and-up for Wahler — who’s engaged to college tennis player Katja Decker-Sadowski and currently filming the horror movie 10,000 Doors, E! News reported.

In addition, Wahler is scheduled to star in a new reality series Teen Savers, which will see him mentor troubled youth who are trying to get their lives back in order, according to E! News.
