Whitney Port’s Eve & A line to debut this fall

Whitney Port is the most fashionable star of “The Hills” in our opinion, even if she did mispronounce Givenchy. Now she’s set to launch her own contemporary clothing line called Eve & A this fall.

She may be following in the footsteps of co-stars Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag, but we’re expecting much more from Whitney than T-shirts and Cali-casual fare.

The 20-piece collection will feature wool and silk items that can be mixed and matched for day or evening and are priced at $50 to $220 wholesale (which means it will be more for us).

The palette is heavy on the black, but incorporates some pops of bright color like purple and Whitney’s favorite pink shade.

“I wanted people to feel more daring,” the 23-year-old Port told WWD.

To this end, the line will feature several items than can be worn multiple ways. A wool jacket can be worn six different ways - like a double breasted top or a shawl-necked one - and a wool skirt has adjustable length from mini to knee-grazing.

Port surely drew on all her experience as an intern at WWD and Teen Vogue, as well as pointers from her current position at fashion public relations firm People’s Revolution to create the line.

“I was never one to know to match the fabrics and color scheme,” she said. “I have to remember that I’m not looking at someone’s closet. I’m looking at a line that represents one vision.”

This fall you can look for Eve & A at Revolveclothing.com, Kitson and several other retailers in Los Angeles and California.
