Looks like Kristin Cavallari landed herself an early birthday present! The newly single Laguna Beach babe celebrated her 21st birthday this weekend in Vegas, where she cozied up to former flame Matt Leinart at her preparty Friday night at Pure.

“They were very flirtatious and took shots together,” says my Sin City source. The two were linked briefly back in 2005, long before Matt had a baby with ex-girlfriend Brynn Cameron. Kristin was living with longtime boyfriend Nick Zano until they broke up last month.

Although Matt hung with Kristin until 4 a.m. on Friday night, I’m told they left separately and that he wasn’t at her actual bash at LAX on Saturday night.

Could romance be the air again…or are they just friends?
